Description

One of the main roles of a leader is to keep employees engaged and motivated regardless of where they are located. The new remote and hybrid work set-up poses new challenges for leaders. There is less personal contact and leaders have no visual data that they usually gather from observing and interacting with their employees at work.

Virtual teams face the risk of losing engagement, connection, and accountability. Now, more than ever with workplaces being divided, it is important to keep employees engaged to the company and each other.

In this session, we will teach leaders how to manage virtual teams effectively. However, it is important to know that the principles and skills needed for leading teams remain the same whether in an in-person or remote work set-up. There is not a big change in WHAT leadership looks like when leading virtually; it’s all about HOW these best practices are being applied.

Structure

LifeWorks Learning workshops go beyond awareness, and allow participants to practice and engage with the topic. Facilitated in small groups, participants can expect learning activities like small-group discussion, breakout rooms, role-play, scenario-based learning – as well as more standard elements like Q&A, polling and chat functionality.
